Inspired by iconic tales such as ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Charlie & the Chocolate Factory’, I wanted to play with the dimensions and proportions of my candy jar. An interplay between illusion, reality, and dreams. By scaling the candy jar in quite a surreal and disproportionate way, the art piece appears dreamy, almost magical. But it still has that playful & childish appearance to it, which I adore. With the removable top, there’s also a bit of curiosity to the piece. It makes you wonder what might be hidden in the jar. As the name of the piece indicates, the jar is enriched with that extra something that makes it special – the cherry on top.
The art piece is mouth-blown and truly unique. There’s only this one vase and it’s made just for you.
